New client manager for Pierce

Tom Wilkinson, 26, has been appointed client manager at business advisory and accountancy group, Pierce; gaining promotion to the post following eight years with the Blackburn company.

Qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2011, having trained with Pierce, Tom began his career with the firm by gaining experience of compliance work such as annual audit and accounts but has also developed skills in more specialist ad-hoc areas, covering insolvency, company reorganisations, corporate forecasting and refinance.

In his new post he will manage a new separate portfolio of clients and will continue to service a number of Pierce Group’s larger client accounts, together with assuming responsibility for Research and Development tax credit reports.

Raised in Mellor, Tom was educated at St Augustine’s RC High School, Billington and at St Mary’s College, Blackburn, prior to joining Pierce. A keen golfer, he is a member of Pleasington Golf Club and a twenty-year season ticket holder at Blackburn Rovers.
