A Preston law firm has been chosen to provide legal advice for one of music legend Neil Diamond’s UK concerts next year – his first in four years.
Harrison Drury solicitors has been instructed to advise Blackpool-based concert promoters Cuffe and Taylor on its agreement with the American singer-songwriter, as well as its agreement with Blackpool Football Club’s Bloomfield Road stadium where the concert will take place on July 23, 2015.It will be the rock legend’s final European show in a 48-date world tour, as well as being the only outdoor stadium concert of the entire tour.
Harrison Drury was chosen to provide legal advice to Cuffe and Taylor after helping the company with its series of Rod Stewart concerts earlier this year, which saw the first ever concert at Bloomfield Road attract a 20,000 strong crowd.David Edwards, associate solicitor at Harrison Drury, said: “Neil is one of the biggest selling artists of all time and it’s been a privilege to assist Cuffe and Taylor in bringing him to Blackpool for what I’m sure will be a great show.
“This year’s Rod Stewart concerts showed what a great music venue Bloomfield Road can be, as well being another successful chapter in the Cuffe and Taylor story.”Neil Diamond will perform his most famous hits, such as Sweet Caroline, Song Sung Blue and Love on the Rocks, alongside hits from his latest album Melody Road.
Peter Taylor, co-founder and director of Cuffe and Taylor, said: “This will be a massive event not just for Blackpool but the entire North West. He is only playing nine other dates in the UK so the fact his only outdoor stadium concert of the whole tour is in Blackpool is great news for the region. “We enjoyed great success with our first ever gig at Blackpool FC when we brought Rod Stewart earlier this year. That concert was extremely well received and we are delighted we can return with such a high profile world-class legend.”
