Neville Gee launches new Jobs App for iPhone and Android

23 Jul 2014

Neville Gee, the Burnley based Recruitment Agency has launched a brand new App designed to help job seekers across East Lancashire find new jobs more quickly.

Official research by the Office for National Statistics on 2013 has shown the rapid growth in internet usage and the fast growing trend in accessing the internet via mobile devices:

• 36 million adults (73%) in Great Britain accessed the Internet every day, 20 million more than in 2006, when comparable records began • Getting online with a mobile device has doubled in the last three years, with 53 percent using devices such as the iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S4, to access the internet. This is up from 24 percent in 2010

“Here at Neville Gee we always try and understand the latest trends and make sure our services take best advantage of them. Consequently we have developed our own App to promote the latest ‘Hot Jobs’ to our candidates,” said Tim Oldfield, director at Neville Gee.

“We believe we are one of, if not the first, Recruitment Agency in Lancashire to develop our own App”, he added. “As the economy continues its recovery and the number of live jobs increases, we are always looking for better and more innovative ways to communicate with our candidates.”

Developed locally, the App can be downloaded through both iTunes App Store and Google Play and is available free of charge for both iPhone and Android.

Candidates can receive details of new jobs direct to their devices as they are added daily, apply directly for roles via the App, submit their CV, register their details or just ask Neville Gee to contact them. There are also useful interview tips, links to the @geejobs twitter feed and general information about the Company.

“Our aim is to be the ‘go-to’ agency for candidates and clients alike” said Donnie Doran, co-owner at Neville Gee. “Recruitment very much remains a people business, and we aim to offer the best service possible to everyone we deal with, so any advantages in technology we can offer that add to what we do are of interest to us. This App can help us speed up the recruitment process, placing the best candidates in the most relevant roles, which can only be in everyone’s best interests.”

To launch the App Neville Gee are running a free to enter competition to win full Corporate Hospitality for 2 courtesy of Neville Gee at Turf Moor to watch Burnley FC at a Premier League match this season. Just download the App and fill in the entry form before 31st July 2014.
