Motorpoint Burnley is celebrating its 25th anniversary, having first opened its doors to car buyers on 20th November 2000.
With over 160,000 cars sold at the site since it opened, Motorpoint Burnley has built a solid reputation as the car buyer's champion – consistently offering customers unrivalled choice, value and quality.
Drawing customers from across Lancashire, the store has a pitch capacity of 470 vehicles for motorists to browse – all available to test drive and take home the same day.
Located on Rosegrove Lane, the 10-acre site was Motorpoint’s second retail store, expanding the business’ physical presence beyond the Midlands.
Since then, the used car retailer has continued to grow, now boasting 21 stores across England, Wales and Scotland.
Alan Young, general sales manager at Motorpoint Burnley, said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating such an important milestone. I want to thank every motorist who has trusted us to help them find their next car, as everything we’ve achieved over the last 25 years wouldn’t have been possible without them.
“Car buying has changed so much over the last 25 years, but our success is testament to the fact that motorists still want to come in store to browse and speak with our team before choosing their next car.”
Many of the staff have worked on the site for over 20 years, including workshop supervisor Rory Gallagher, who has been with Motorpoint Burnley since the store's opening.
He’s celebrating 25 years with the business as part of the anniversary celebrations – making him one of Motorpoint’s longest-serving employees.
