Motionlab Given Creative Responsibility For John C Wilkins Rebrand
Motionlab, the Preston marketing agency, has extended its relationship with floor screeding and soundproofing specialists John C Wilkins after being appointed handle the rebranding of their entire group of companies. The JCW Group consists of four divisions: JCW Floor Screeding, JCW Acoustic Supplies, JCW Acoustic Flooring and JCW Specialist Supplies.
Motionlab, which was recognised in the Recommended Agency 'Top 100' Register in 2012, has renamed and re-positioned each division of the JCW Group with a new corporate identity, in a push designed to achieve greater nationwide brand awareness. The modernised branding features a prominent new JCW typography to replace the previous family name. Each new logo is graphically linked with a clear description of the main activity of each division and colour coded to give a unique identity.
The rebrand coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Bolton-based firm and has been rolled out across their full suite of online and offline marketing communications including signage, van livery, brochures, datasheets and individual websites.Since joining forces with Motionlab back in 2009, JCW Acoustic Supplies has gone on to become the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of soundproofing products. JCW have also seen leads improve by 523% vs 2009.
This modernised brand identity will help the company send a clear signal to the market about the different products and services each division of the group offer to the wider building and construction sector. Ian Sprakes, group marketing manager at the JCW Group, said: "The new look has been well received by existing customers, staff and potential new customers. Each of the four companies in the group now looks like what they really are – professionals in their own niche markets, yet still part of a bigger family. We know the design on our fleet of vehicles is making an impact and getting noticed because since the design was applied, we have had several sales calls from potential customers who say they have seen one of our vans”.
