Business mental health organisation Mente has announced their partnership with e-Aspire, a digital content and specialised eLearning production company.

Through this strategic partnership, the Lancashire-based firms will be able to deliver high-quality interactive and video mental health training to a wider audience in the UK and globally.

e-Aspire will provide Mente’s mental health training to allow businesses to embed it into their own Learning Management Systems (LMS) or access it on Mente’s own LMS platform developed and provided by e-Aspire.

Mel Joseph, founder and managing director of Mente, said “We’re delighted to be working with e-Aspire online. We are growing our own eLearning offering with more interactive modules and video content.

"This has been necessary to meet an increasing demand to all businesses seeking training that they can embed into their own internal learning systems. Our partnership will make our accredited mental health education more accessible to many.”

Mel and Mike first met via the NHS Innovation Agency, having both worked closely with Lancaster University and the Health Innovation team.

Mike Mulvihill, Founder and Managing Director of e-Aspire, said: “We are working in the Health Sector with the NHS and are pleased to have the opportunity to work with Mente. We are working with them to deliver their eLearning and training video content that companies can use to educate and support their employees when dealing with mental health and wellbeing”.

It is believed that one in four people will experience a mental health problem each year, with the HSE finding that 15.4 million working days were lost in 2017/2018 due to poor mental health. Further analysis by Deloitte found that the cost of poor mental health to employers in the UK is between £33 billion and £42 billion every year.

The existing Mente platform houses CPD accredited mental health training for employees, as well as mental health training, understanding legislation and best practice guides just for managers. This standalone platform also contains diagnostic and performance tools, including a real-time survey function and live absence cost calculator and has a robust management system to show the business is compliant and has taken all steps to look after employee wellbeing. Mente also offers direct access to licensed specialist partners and a national directory of solutions providers, for further help when necessary.
