The MCL Group (Int) Ltd has launched six new websites as part of an online branding refresh of all the companies within the group.

The MCL Group was established in 1999 and provides tailor-made business solutions covering a wide range of services. Dealing with everything from logistics to recruitment and facilities management, the Group’s renewed online presence needed to be modern whilst reflecting its all-encompassing services.

Melanie Crossfield, a representative of The MCL Group, said: “We wanted to give each of our websites a significant update visually as well as improving the functionality of the sites for our customers. The new websites greatly improves the customer experience and the Group’s online presence. ”

Updating the suite of 6 websites required the services of an experienced digital agency. The MCL Group’s head office is in Southport and the organisation prefers to keep business as local as possible. In doing so, the Group helps to improve sustainability throughout the region whilst stimulating the local economy.

After consulting with multiple agencies in the area, The MCL Group decided to enlist the services of longstanding Preston-based firm Piranha Solutions.

Each of the new websites needed to be content-rich and simple to update and edit. This requirement led to Piranha’s web developers building the sites in the WordPress online platform. Building the sites in this way gave each of them an accessible and user-friendly admin area for straightforward content updates.

WordPress is also famed for its flexibility and the enormous range of available plug-ins. This aspect was crucial to the build of The MCL Group’s new websites because of the wide range of services provided by each company.

From MCL Resourcing (a specialist recruitment firm) to FTS (courier and logistics experts), separate functionality was required from each web build. This meant that each website also needed to be different in its design and technical setup.

Piranha’s experienced web development team and in-house graphic designers liaised at length with The MCL Group representatives and decided on final plans for all six websites.

Additional functionality including a recruitment jobs board and software for booking appointments was included in the builds, as well as fully-integrated contact forms, enabling potential customers to make enquiries quickly and easily.

Don Fryer of Piranha Solutions said of the work completed: “We’re extremely pleased with how The MCL Group’s website builds have turned out. Each of the new sites had its own purpose and so we couldn’t simply copy and paste the same design six times. Our developers and designers teamed together to deliver above and beyond the client’s expectations.”

All 6 of the new websites are now live and searchable on the internet. Thanks to the combined efforts of The MCL Group and Piranha, each company within the Group is now ready to continue helping customers with a renewed and refreshed online presence.

“We’re extremely pleased with the way the new websites have turned out,” said Melanie Crossfield. “It’ll be really exciting to see what our customers think!” With such a wide range of services available through a stylish and contemporary group of websites, The MCL Group is now ready to attract new clients in the diverse range of industries in which it operates.
