Magma Digital MD speaks at international conference

Jeremy Coates, the managing director of Magma Digital was recently invited to speak at the PHPBenelux conference in Belgium.

This is an international conference organised by the local technical community. The conference is for web developers who specialise in the programming language, PHP, which is used by over 80% of all websites.

Jeremy was chosen to present a technical talk and deliver a tutorial workshop by the selection committee. The conference is attended by web developers from around the world and Jeremy was delighted to have the opportunity to share his expertise with the international web development community.

The technical talk focused on software tools, whereas the workshop looked at software testing practices. Both sessions were well attended and received positively. Jill Vanden Driessche, senior PHP Developer at Glue, was so impressed with the testing system in the tutorial that she commented in her feedback that: “We will definitely be integrating this in our company workflow.” Jeremy has an established presence on the international PHP conference scene, having previously spoken at conferences in the Netherlands and Italy. Jeremy and Magma Digital also play a key role in the organisation of a local technical conference, PHP North West. This conference is annually attended by over 400 visitors from across the globe and will take place in early October 2014.
