Local football league kicks off with surveyors sponsorship

Lea Hough Chartered Surveyors is kicking off the new football season by once again sponsoring local children’s football league Accrington and District Football League (ADJFL).

After last year’s season was disrupted by the pandemic, everyone involved is looking forward to a busy year of football fixtures ahead.

In sponsoring this forthcoming season, this will be the fourth year the league has been sponsored by Lea Hough.

Having first started in 1958, the Accrington & District Junior Football League has a long history.  Now attracting teams from all over the region including Accrington, Blackburn, Darwen, Rossendale, Burnley and Colne and the Ribble Valley, the league caters to a wide range of age groups - from under 7’s right through to under 16’s.

League secretary, Gareth Cross, commented:  “The support of local businesses is vital to the success of local football leagues such as ours. Following the success of England’s football team in the Euro 2020 tournament, we hope this year’s young footballers will take inspiration and we look forward to full season of great fixtures ahead.”

Sponsoring the ADJFL is just one of the local initiatives Lea Hough is involved with this year. The firm is also sponsoring Lune Valley Junior Football Club, Longridge Town FC and Oswaldtwistle Immanuel Church Cricket Club.
