The first sponsors for the Lancashire Hospitality Awards have been announced.

The awards have twelve categories for businesses to enter and launched last month to recognise excellence in the sector.

Lancashire Business View, along with Business Lancashire, have been announced as the media partners, whilst providers of edible promotional merchandise, Eat My Logo, and design and print business Polkadot are event sponsor and print sponsor respectively. Events production company VEM will support the awards as audio visual partner.

The nominated charity is Hospitality Action, a UK-wide charity that offers vital assistance to those who work, or have worked, within the hospitality industry and find themselves in times of crisis.

Kevin Haygarth, regional board chairman, Hospitality Action, said: “We’re delighted that the Lancashire Hospitality Awards have chosen Hospitality Action as their nominated charity to receive funds raised at their inaugural awards event.

“Last year the charity spent almost £180,000 supporting those in need across the north and it is only thanks to events such as these they are able to make a real difference to the many who work in the industry and have fallen on hard times.”

The awards are open for entries until Monday, November 12, via an online entry form on the awards official website; www.lancashirehospitalityawards.co.uk.

Various sponsorship opportunities are still available including Headline, Category Awards and Social Media sponsor with brands involved given the opportunity to raise awareness of their services to some of the key decision makers in the hospitality industry.

The Lancashire Hospitality Awards are free to enter with the top ten finalists being invited to interview in front of a panel of judges, followed by the creation of a final five, from which the winners will be selected and announced at an awards ceremony held at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens on Friday 1st February 2019.

The awards have been founded by The KC Awards Group Limited which is made up of KRPR managing director, Kara Rose and CDC events director, Carl Darcy. Awards up for grabs are, Large Hotel of the Year, Small Hotel of the Year, Boutique Hotel of the Year, Spa Hotel of the Year, Golf Resort of the Year, Hotel Restaurant/Bar of the Year, Sustainable Venue of the Year, Hotel Conference / Event of the Year, Non-Residential Venue of the Year, Wedding Venue of the Year, Marketing / PR Campaign of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award.
