Like Technologies celebrates 20 years

Lancaster industrial electronic and software engineering company Like Technologies has marked 20 years in business with a special anniversary event at its Lancaster site in September.

The company, which provides specialist electronic and control system support to clients primarily in the nuclear energy sector, welcomed guests including Lizzi Collinge, MP for Morecambe and Lunesdale.

Guests included staff from Lancaster University, Lancaster & Morecambe College and Kendal College, with whom the firm works on various educational programmes to enhance and encourage engineering skills in the region.

Also joining the celebrations were Stuart Bateson and Kelly Dunford of key customer EDF, with whom Like Technologies works across every site including Heysham and Torness, as well as Like Technologies co-founder Alan Hobson.

Kate Houlden, managing director of Like Technologies, said: “Reaching 20 years is a significant milestone for Like Technologies and one we wanted to share with the people who have supported the company along the way.

“It was fantastic to welcome customers, colleagues, local education partners and friends of the business to Lancaster. We are hugely grateful to everyone who has played a part in the Like Technologies story, and we are looking forward to the next chapter.”
