Lea Hough springs into larger offices

Leading Lancashire Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants Lea Hough are continuing a period of growth with an office move to larger premises in Blackburn.

The firm, which has been experiencing a steady level of growth over recent years, have acquired a 3000 square foot building on Capricorn Park in Blackburn having outgrown its previous office, located on Phoenix Business Park.

Commenting on the new premises, Paul Dignan, Partner, said:  We’ve been looking for a suitable new office space having grown our team in Blackburn over the past few years. When a building became available less than 200 yards from our current office, it seemed too good to be true!

“The new office space is not only much larger internally, it also has plenty of parking – something we particularly wanted for the benefit of our staff and visiting clients.

The move is just the next step in what has been a really strong period for Lea Hough. We’ve seen gradual progressive growth over the past few years, and now we have a new base, we expect this to be able to continue at a sustainable level across staff numbers, client gains and services that we offer.”

The move comes just weeks after the firm achieved a record number of approvals for academy schools via CIF bids. The firm, which was established in Preston in 1983, has also performed well in the residential survey market over the past 12 months, having seen a 20% increase in new instructions year on year to the end of March 2018.

Named Oakshaw House by the firm, Lea Hough’s new HQ is in a prominent position with its frontage on Blakewater Road. Capricorn Park is in the Whitebirk business district of Blackburn, an area also home to a number of banks, solicitors, accountants and architects just off the M65 and one mile outside of Blackburn town centre.

With plenty of experience in helping other businesses with remodelling and refurbishment projects, the Lea Hough team were able to turn around the office space ready for relocation within a matter of weeks.

The new office will house Lea Hough’s Building Surveying team, Survey and Valuation team, Property Management and Admin/Secretarial staff, as well as having room for further growth over the coming years. The firm also has another main office at Buckshaw Village, Preston, where a further seven of its staff are based.

Lea Hough is a Chartered Surveyors and multi-disciplinary property consultancy offering services to private individuals and the commercial sector. Established in 1983, the firm operates across Lancashire and the wider North West. For more information, visit www.leahough.co.uk.
