Lancaster University events series offers Lancashire and Cumbria businesses key sustainability insights

A number of public events to help better equip businesses to tackle increasingly important issues of sustainability in their operations will be held at Lancaster University Management School.

The Transforming Tomorrow Masterclass Series, organised by the Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business, is designed to give organisations in Lancashire and Cumbria insights and understanding on key topics from leading professionals.

It will address environmental, economic, and social aspects of sustainability – making the issues clear and understandable. All events are free to attend.

The first masterclass, featuring Dr Paul Young – Head of Science at JBA Risk Management, and a former climate scientist in Lancaster Environment Centre – takes place on Wednesday, March 4th.

The event will focus on the effects of climate hazards – such as floods and heatwaves, - on business, and how companies can analyse and model risks to their operations.

As well as the talk from Dr Young, there will also be an opportunity for networking with other businesses.
