Lancaster Chamber adds three to board

Lancaster & District Chamber of Commerce has appointed three new directors to its board.

Nick Wilkinson of Lune Properties is chair of Lancaster Business Improvement District. He has worked as a project manager on regeneration projects across the health and social care sector, then in senior management in the National Health Service. 

Imogen Brettell, chief people officer at SilverDoor Apartments, which she joined in 2016. Today, she is responsible for employee welfare and wellbeing, recruitment, and training and development.

Maria Chambers is CEO of CancerCare North Lancashire and South Cumbria. She has been director of children and young people’s services for Scope and director of education for Ambitious about Autism. She’s a governor of the Chadwick Centre, a Lancaster school for pupils who need special educational provision, a trustee of Lancaster and Morecambe Citizens Advice Bureau and is on the board of Lancaster BID.

Mal Garnett, Chamber president, said: "We are delighted to welcome these three talented businesspeople to our board. They will work in a voluntary capacity with our other non-executive directors and the wider Chamber team to drive forward the growth and development of our organisation. All three have a genuine commitment and passion for the Chamber and its members’ needs."

New appointees will be formally voted on by members at the Chamber’s 123rd Annual General Meeting in October, which will be conducted online for the first time.
