Industry recognition for Connect Childcare

Just four months after launching an innovative new app, Burnley nursery management software provider, Connect Childcare is celebrating being shortlisted for a prestigious industry award.

Connect Childcare specialises in creating nursery management software to ease the administrative burden on nursery staff whilst helping them to improve their partnership with parents.

The company’s most recent development, ParentZone is an app which uses the latest smartphone and tablet technologies to enable parents to interact with nursery staff and view their children’s achievements and activities in a Facebook style timeline at any time of day or night and wherever they are. The app integrates with the company’s iConnect software which allows nursery staff to easily complete all of their administrative tasks and record keeping in one place.

Over 15,000 parents have downloaded the ParentZone app since it was launched in March. An additional 90 parents a day are signing up, recognising the benefits of bringing them closer to their children’s developments. Connect Childcare has employed an additional five members of staff since March, taking its numbers to 50, to meet customer demand for the product and ensure it offers an outstanding level of customer service.

This phenomenal adoption rate of ParentZone and iConnect has led to the company being shortlisted in the Equipment and Resources: Staff Resources category at the Nursery World Awards. A further 15 of Connect’s customers, many of whom use this new software, have been shortlisted for 24 awards in 12 different categories.

“We are delighted that our contribution to innovation in the childcare sector has been recognised by the judges, particularly in a record breaking year for entries,” said Connect Childcare CEO Chris Reid.

“What is even more pleasing is the fact that so many of the finalists are also the biggest ambassadors for our iConnect and ParentZone software. Almost all of our customers who have been shortlisted in the awards use these latest forms of our software to save their staff time and bring them closer to the parents of the children in their care. “We are really looking forward to celebrating with our customers and industry contacts at the awards ceremony in London in September and have our fingers crossed that we will be winners on the night!”
