Leading Chorley based company KW Designed Solutions Ltd is thrilled to announce that it has have won a highly prestigious award. Winning the ‘Best Small Company’ award from Subsea UK; an accolade held in extremely high regards in their industry.

Winning the award has really cemented an especially exhilarating start to 2020 for Chorley’s KW Group Ltd. They have mirrored the expansion and innovation in the bustling town itself; with a new state-of-the-art, in-house Pressure Testing Centre being officially launched as KW Pressure Testing Ltd.

The fully-automated and controlled facility; based at the Groups Head Quarters on Chorley North Business Park, utilises the industry specialism of the KW Group Ltd. (which incorporates KW Designed Solutions Ltd. and new company KW Pressure Testing Ltd.) in designing, manufacturing and installing highly technical, bespoke pressure vessels and associated equipment.

Industry Stability & Growth

Over the last few years, the downturn in the energy market spurred the company to review its structure and explore new ventures. This has seen expansion into both new and existing markets in North and South America, Canada, Norway and collaboration with a partner company in France. They have also appointed key personnel, moved to new premises and have ambitious plans to aid future growth in the global Subsea sector.

The changes implemented have proven successful, with the company celebrating a record financial year in FY2018/19, increasing turnover and winning many new global contracts. The skilled team are delighted to have won the highly esteemed “Best Small Company” in the 2020 Subsea UK Awards and are proud to be an established Chorley based business, employing local staff and utilising services from other local companies.

Mark Henderson, commercial director, comments: “This is an enormous deal for KW Designed Solutions. It’s a fantastic accolade, that we are immensely proud of! We can’t thank everyone enough; what an incredible feeling the whole team at KW has right now!

“Every single one of our employees (past and present) has a different role to play within our company but without each of them; we would cease to be as successful as we are. So, a huge thank you to all our incredible workforce, customers and suppliers.

“This award is not only a symbol of appreciation to our entire team. It’s also testament to our commitment, perseverance, determination and drive to deliver consistently high standards and high-quality, state-of-the-art products to our customers.

“Chorley is a great location to do business in; it has had a lot of investment recently and is a real up-and-coming place to be. It is a relatively central location with good transport links for the UK and global Subsea market; being close to the motorway and key global air and sea freight links. It reflects our ambitious plans for the future!”
