Accrington-based music event production company, iMEP, have been announced as the new sponsors of the control box at Accrington Stanley.

The sponsorship continues iMEP’s support for Accrington Stanley, after becoming stand sponsors of the Eric Whalley Family Stand earlier this year.

With 20 Accrington Stanley matches being broadcast on Sky Sports this season, iMEP have now taken the opportunity to support Accrington Stanley and to sponsor the control box, which is firmly located within the TV arc, in the corner of the Wham Stadium.

The newly branded iMEP control box was on show for the first time during Accrington Stanley’s home game against Barrow AFC on Saturday, a game which was also shown live on Sky Sports.

Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP, said: “We are big supporters of Accrington Stanley here at iMEP and when we heard about the opportunity to sponsor the control box, it was a no brainer for us.

“We have boxes already at the AO Arena and at Co-op Live, and now we have got one at Accrington Stanley.

“With so many Stanley games being shown on Sky Sports, this is a fantastic way to advertise our business, at the same time as supporting our local League Two football club.”

Warren Eastham, Commercial Director at Accrington Stanley, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Eddy and iMEP for supporting the club once again. We need more businesses like iMEP to support our fabulous community club.

“Sponsors are a huge part of what we do here at Accrington Stanley and it is great to see a local businesses being promoted on our control box.”

iMEP offer everything from lighting, sound, staging and special effects, to fully managed music and theatre event production.
