How a vehicle service plan could benefit you

At some point everybody needs to take their car in for a service, yet we often put off taking our cars in due to costs, convenience, or other things getting in the way. However, there are many benefits to having a car serviced, just as there are many issues with avoiding one. Service plans provide the best solution to the three main causes of car-servicing procrastination, ensuring vehicles remain running smoothly, maintain resale value and most importantly remain safe.

Avoiding taking your car in for a service comes with a number of risks. Firstly, servicing helps to identify and resolve issues which will occur with cars due to general wear and tear. Over time, like anything, cars will begin to develop problems, whether it is tyres or brake pads wearing, to cam belts needing a replacement. Services identify these faults before they become a safety risk.

Further to this, vehicles which are not regularly serviced are at an increased risk of experiencing engine troubles. Having oil and filters changed allows engines to keep running optimally, rather than running out of lubrication and seizing up.

Beyond preventing faults, service plans come with some appealing benefits. Combating concerns about cost, today almost all service plans can be paid over a monthly basis, helping to spread the cost and make running your car affordable. These monthly prices are exempt from inflation, meaning the fee you agree to remains fixed. Furthermore, a service plan can help you in the long run, a complete service history will boost resale value of vehicles as well as the desirability of car when it comes to selling.

When it does come to changing cars, service plans can be transferred from vehicle to vehicle, meaning you will not be losing out.

Right now, Blackburn Audi and Preston Audi are offering 25 per cent off service plans before December 10th 2023 as part of the Winter Service Plan Event.*
