Hotfoot unveils new visual identity for award-winning Italian wine bar group Veeno

The brand team at Hotfoot Design has crafted a sophisticated new visual identity for Veeno, the award-winning independent hospitality group behind a growing collection of much-loved Italian wine bars across the UK.

Veeno is celebrated for its outstanding wines sourced directly from the founders’ family vineyard in Sicily, served alongside authentic Italian dishes and expertly crafted cocktails.

With ambitious plans for national expansion, Veeno’s refreshed brand has been designed to elevate recognition, strengthen consistency, and support the group’s next phase of growth.

At the heart of the new identity is a bespoke wordmark inspired by the relaxed charm of Veeno’s bars.

This signature asset anchors a broader system featuring expressive textures, illustrated vineyard motifs and contemporary patterns, all created to bring depth, character and flexibility to the brand.

Fiona Lambert, creative lead at Hotfoot said: “Our team collaborated closely with owners Nino and Rodrigue to create a contemporary, sophisticated identity that captures authentic Italian vibes, drawing inspiration from the Aperitivo culture we love.

“The result is a modern, polished brand full of Italian warmth, character, and style at the heart of one of the UK’s most exciting independent wine bar groups.”

A bold yet refined colour palette, paired with modern, hospitality-friendly typography, gives the brand a fresh contemporary edge while ensuring it remains welcoming and easy to implement.

Comprehensive guidelines and custom templates support Veeno’s internal teams across the UK as the brand continues its expansion.

Rodrigue Trouillet, managing director and co-founder at Veeno said: “Working with Hotfoot Design on our Veeno re-branding was a great experience.

“They were true partners, expertly guiding us from concept to a final identity that perfectly balances Italian heritage with a contemporary edge. We couldn’t be happier with the strategic and beautiful brand they helped us refine.”

Hotfoot Design is an award-winning creative and digital agency based in Lancaster. Founded in 2006, the team partners with ambitious organisations across the UK and internationally to deliver impactful brand, digital, and marketing experiences. Clients include Rolls-Royce SMR, Ordnance Survey, the NHS, St John International, World of Beatrix Potter, and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company.

Veeno was established in 2013 with a mission to bring authentic Italian wine culture to the UK. Veeno operates wine bars in locations including Bristol, Chester, Durham, Edinburgh, Leeds and Leicester.
