Harrison Drury 2024 Trainee Intake

Preston-based law firm Harrison Drury has recruited eight new trainees and apprentices as part of its 2024 training programme intake.

Olivia Moore and Sophie Holt-Rogers have both started trainee solicitor contracts having previously undertaken paralegal roles at the firm. The pair join Jess Woodman who started her training contract in March in the firm’s 2024 cohort of trainee solicitors.

Priya Anand, Ethan Jayne, and Koko Taylor have taken up apprentice solicitor positions, while Shannon Martin and Alexandra Brown have become legal apprentices.

Olivia will start her training with a placement with the firm’s family law team in Kendal, while Sophie will work with the corporate law team in Manchester.

The solicitor apprentices will all be based primarily in Preston, with Ethan working with the employment law team, Koko with the commercial litigation team and Priya with the commercial property team.

Shannon’s legal apprentice role will see her providing support for the firm’s team of solicitors in Lytham, while Alexandra will work with the private client team in Preston.

Over the last 10 years Harrison Drury’s training programme has created 47 trainee solicitor and apprentice roles. 14 current solicitors started at the firm as a trainee or apprentice.

James Robbins, training principal and insolvency partner at Harrison Drury, said: “Our training programme helps us to find, recruit and develop the people we need now and in the future. It’s important to us in many ways, but especially in creating new growth and succession opportunities and ensuring our clients get a first-class service from the brightest legal talent.

“It’s incredibly pleasing for us to see many of our previous trainees securing more senior positions and developing into future leaders, something that creates even more opportunities for others to follow in their footsteps. We congratulate our latest cohort of trainees and apprentices and look forward to seeing how them grow with the firm.”
