Hargreave Hale wins Chamber Golf Challenge trophy

The Lancaster District Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Challenge, held on Tuesday 16th September, was won by Hargreave Hale Ltd of Lancaster with a score of 93 in this year’s team ‘AM-AM’ Stableford competition.

Players from Hargreave Hale Ltd beat off competition from seven other teams in perfect weather conditions at Lancaster Golf Cub, set in the stunning grounds of Ashton Hall, to win the Chamber’s Golf Trophy and vouchers for the Golf Pro-Shop.

Taking second place with a score of 86, was the team from Colman, Whittaker & Roscow, who each took away a bottle of wine and vouchers for some post-event indulgence at PhysioFusion Ltd who provide comprehensive physiotherapy and therapy treatments across their 5 clinics in the Lancashire & North Yorkshire region.

Also during the day Chris Mackenzie, Senior International Commercial Manager of HSBC in Preston won not only the individual prize for scoring ‘Nearest the Pin’ on the 11th hole - but also topped the scores for the ‘Longest Drive’ challenge on the 18th hole. Chris also took away a treatment voucher for PhysioFusion and a bottle of bubbly!

The Chamber Golf Challenge is now in its 20th year and grows in popularity each year seeing players attending from a variety of businesses across the district.
