Green Hills Development Celebrates Eight Years of Community Growth

Kingswood Homes is celebrating a significant milestone as its flagship Green Hills development in Feniscowles marks eight years since its sales launch. The development has evolved into a thriving community, demonstrating the company's commitment to placemaking and creating high-quality, sustainable homes.

Over the past eight years, Green Hills has welcomed more than 250 homeowners and established itself as one of the region's most sought-after residential developments. The community features nine distinct areas of open space - equivalent to four football pitches - providing residents with abundant recreational areas.

The development showcases two distinctive collections: the contemporary Farmstead Collection, drawing inspiration from local farm buildings, and the traditional Homestead Collection, influenced by Blackburn's Georgian architecture, which has achieved over 80% sales.

Paul Jones, Managing Director of Kingswood Homes, said: "Green Hills has become more than just a housing development - it's a vibrant community where residents come together to celebrate throughout the year. From our popular Bonfire and firework displays to festive Christmas light switch-ons, creative 'Spookiest House' competitions, and Easter egg treasure hunts, the community spirit here is exceptional."

Green Hills development has achieved several significant milestones over its eight-year journey. The development's commitment to community and innovation is evidenced by its successful Great Big House Giveaway campaign in 2021, which raised over £400,000 for Derian House Children's Hospice through the donation of a house.

The development's commitment to quality has been consistently recognised, with Kingswood earning the prestigious five-star rating from the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for four consecutive years. Stuart Bullough, Construction Director at Kingswood Homes, said: “Achieving a five-star rating for the fourth consecutive year, with an impressive 97% rating for both recommendation and build quality, is a remarkable achievement that highlights the whole teams unwavering dedication to quality and customer satisfaction. This rating is one of the highest in the North West and sustaining this level of excellence year after year reflects the customer-centric approach that is central to everything we do as a collective team.”

The development's commitment to quality is further evidenced by its award-winning site managers who have consistently demonstrated excellence in their roles. The site managers have secured three consecutive NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Awards and won multiple accolades, including being named the North West regional winner in the Medium category for the fourth consecutive time. Their leadership has been instrumental in maintaining Kingswood's high standards of construction and delivering exceptional homes to residents.

The development has demonstrated steady growth, with nine show homes opened across various phases and another planned for 2025. Innovation has been at the forefront with the introduction of the Shape Your Home concept, enabling homeowners to customise their layouts. Additionally, the development has embraced sustainability through eco-friendly homes equipped with over £15,000 worth of energy-saving features, including solar PV panels and shower heat recovery systems.

The development continues to expand with its latest phase in partnership with Together Housing, bringing mixed tenure homes while maintaining Kingswood's high standards of quality and design.
