Global Leader Precision Polymer Engineering Becomes Gold Patron of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, Supporting Local Young People in the Community

Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE), a global leader in high-performance elastomer seals and components, is thrilled to announce its new role as a Gold Patron of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone. This partnership reflects PPE’s commitment to investing in the local community and helping empower young people in Blackburn and Darwen to reach their potential.

As a Gold Patron, PPE will provide vital funding to support Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, a vital charity of the local community that offers a safe, inspiring environment for children and young people aged 5 to 19 (and up to 25 through the Youth Hub).

The Youth Zone delivers a wide range of activities on developing skills and aspirations, community cohesion, and promoting health and well-being.

Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone needs to raise £2.5 million a year to keep its doors open to more than 5,000 young people. It also offers free membership, free entry, and a free hot meal to every young person who accesses its provision.

“At PPE, we’re committed to making a meaningful difference in the communities where we work,” said Hynek Jakubicek, General Manager at PPE.

“Becoming a Gold Patron of Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone is an incredible opportunity to support a cause that aligns with our values. We’re proud to contribute to a charity that supports young people to thrive and succeed.”

With PPE’s support as a Gold Patron, Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone will continue to expand its services and create positive opportunities for local young people. This contribution is part of a network of support that funds the Youth Zone’s operational costs, ensuring the organisation can sustain and grow its impactful services.

"We are delighted to welcome PPE as a Gold Patron," said Wayne Wild MBE, Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone Chairman.

"Their commitment to our mission will help us continue offering essential services and a nurturing environment for young people in our community."
