Taylor Patterson is working with Cardinal Newman College to commission unique artwork to brighten up the stairwells at Lanson House.
Cardinal Newman College, based in Preston runs a first class Arts course for sixth formers and as a way of boosting employee engagement, Kerry Houghton in the SIPP & SSAS team suggested we approach their art department to produce some one off pieces for the offices. With Lanson House previously part of the college it created a heritage link between the organisations, as well as providing a real life commission for the sixth-formers.
The students have now submitted their pieces for the project, titled ‘My Surroundings’, and Gillian Bardin and Louise Potter were invited to the college to select the shortlist for the walls at Taylor Patterson. With around 15 pieces selected, staff will now choose their favourite piece. The winning artwork will feature on the front cover of the next edition of the Adviser.
