Gen Z enthusiast to speak at North West Employee Engagement Group eventThe North West Employee Engagement Group (NWEEG) has appointed Generation Z enthusiast, Franki Johnson to speak at its upcoming event: Improve HR Communications.
Franki, marketing manager at lighting, electrical and energy management company, Greenlite Group, has spent the last few years reading and researching all things Generation Z and, the wonderful ways in which they will shape the future of business.
Franki said: "After visiting one of NWEEG’s events in October, I am so excited to be a part of the next event and get everybody behind welcoming this extraordinary generation to the workforce. The North West Employee Engagement Group, is a fantastic concept with a brilliant objective: To make the North West the best place to work in the world."But, employers must be aware that the next generation of employees will bring lots of opportunities and challenges to the workplace and, leaders need to be best prepared to meet the demands and expectations of Generation Z.
"Generation Z (born 1995-2010) have grown up in a world completely different to the one their leaders grew up in and, if we treat Generation Z like Millennials, we will be making a big mistake. Generation Z are very aware of the job opportunities out there and a company’s commitment to employee engagement will influence their intention to stay or leave."If you employ young people in your workplace, this presentation will certainly benefit you. The key takeaways from this discussion will be:
- The events that have influenced and defined Generation Z
- Generation Z’s expectations of the workplace
- Strategies for employers to implement in order to successfully engage generation Z.
