Strategic marketing agency Happy Creative is celebrating 20 years in business, marking two decades of helping organisations turn ideas into impact, with a philosophy rooted in kindness, creativity, and measurable growth.
Founded in 2005 by Karen Lambert, the agency has become a trusted partner for local authorities, SMEs and scale-up businesses across the UK. From branding and digital storytelling to behaviour change campaigns and content creation, Happy blends strategy and heart in everything it does.
With offices in both Blackpool and Burnley, the agency’s work is underpinned by RISUS, its proprietary marketing framework designed to help ambitious businesses grow strategically, with clarity and purpose.
Karen said: “RISUS was created to help our clients move from reactive marketing to real, sustainable growth.
“It’s shaped by our years of experience, and by our belief that marketing should feel human, considered and connected.”
Happy is known not just for its work, but for how it works, with authenticity, collaboration, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
At the heart of the business lies a purpose that’s never changed: Spreading Happiness. That purpose drives how the team supports communities, from mentoring young people and partnering with charities, to donating time, skills, and funds to causes focused on health, wellbeing, and hunger.
Since 2018, the agency has proudly supported the Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Samaritans’ Pay for a Day campaign, helping to fund the service for a full 24 hours each year. Their commitments also align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 2: Zero Hunger and SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, goals that reflect the agency’s focus on people-first impact.
Karen adds: “We make a donation to a local charity every time we win a new client.
“It’s part of creating a circle of happiness and our commitment to giving back, whether that’s supporting mental health initiatives, mentoring young people, or donating our time and skills to causes that matter.
It’s a small gesture that reflects a much bigger belief: that business should do good, and success should be shared.”
As the agency marks this major milestone, the team, known as The Happies, reflects on 20 years of partnership, creativity, and meaningful growth working with clients who share their values, and choosing projects that make a difference.
“The people we work with; Happies past and present, clients and partners, all have shaped who we are,” says Karen. “We’re so grateful for the trust they’ve shown us over the years. This celebration is really about them.”
