Forbes Solicitors and Barclays return as headline Red Rose Awards sponsors

The 2022 Red Rose Awards has secured the backing of two long-standing supporters as Forbes Solicitors and Barclays have both signed on once more as headline sponsors.

This is the ninth Red Rose Awards for which Barclays has held the title of headline sponsor since debuting in 2014. Forbes Solicitors has partnered with the event every year since its inception in 2011.

This year’s awards will take place on June 9 at Blackpool’s iconic Winter Gardens. The programme honours the ambition, innovation and achievements of the county’s stand-out companies, and celebrated their biggest ever year in 2021 with almost 1,200 in attendance.

Lancashire businesses and organisations have until 18 March to submit their nominations and entries for the 2022 awards, and can find out how to do so at www.redroseawards.co.uk

Stephen Bolton, commercial director for Lancashire Business View which organises the Red Rose Awards, said: “It is fantastic news for us to have our headline sponsors return for another year.

“The goal of both Lancashire Business View and the Red Rose Awards is to show that Lancashire organisations can achieve great things when we work together, and the success of these awards is a great example of this.

The partnership with Forbes and Barclays clearly demonstrates how we do business. By building meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships – doing business the right way, the Lancashire way. Working with the same headline sponsors for over a decade is proof that this works.”

Oliver Burton, CEO at Forbes, said: “We are delighted to back the biggest business awards in the Lancashire for the 12th year running as headline partner.

“The awards have grown significantly since they started over a decade ago and are now an essential part of the business calendar in Lancashire.

“As a firm whose roots are firmly based in Lancashire, we are proud to be part of an awards ceremony for local businesses that champions the success and resilience of the county’s business community.

“Over the years the awards have given us the opportunity to meet and work with so many fantastic companies. As a firm who prides themselves in being real and engaging, we value this opportunity and look forward to hearing the stories of those that enter this year, meeting the finalists at judging and celebrating on the night!”

John Stanworth, head of Lancashire and Cumbria at Barclays, who had been involved with the awards as a judge before supporting the event as a headline sponsor, said: “We have never regretted partnering up with the Red Rose Awards back in 2014 as headline sponsor and we are thrilled to once again support the campaign for 2022.

“The awards has got bigger and better in every area year on year and the night itself has become the largest and most enjoyable in the county.

“Throughout our sponsorship the exposure to some of the best businesses has been invaluable plus the opportunity to learn from the key decision-makers on what, how and why they made the decisions that shaped their business has been eye-opening.

“Being associated with success is where we want to be and the Red Rose Awards gives us the chance to promote to our clients and an ability to give something back to the community that supports our business. “We can’t wait to celebrate the county’s resilience, diligence and success and encourage all those thinking of entering to do it!”

The Red Rose Awards 2022 is also sponsored by Cube Thinking, Harrison Drury Solicitors, Matrix 247, Pendle Engineering, Peter Scott Printers, PM+M, Porsche Centre Bolton, Sales Geek, United Utilities and Zigaflow.

The awards are supported by Chorley Borough Council and Marketing Lancashire.
