Five reasons why automatic doors are a good investment

When restructuring your building or institution, automatic doors may not be at the top of your list. Here are five reasons they should be:

They look good

When trying to attract new customers and/or employees, you need to make a good first impression. The way your office or building looks can make or break or the deal. Installing automatic doors will make your entrance appear more attractive, professional and slick.

Haven’t seen any you like? Automatic doors come in many different styles and configurations, so you’re not restricted to the ones you see at Tesco. From sliding doors, to swinging doors, to revolving doors, we can help you find the best fit for your needs.

They provide easy access

To state the obvious, automatic doors make it easier for people to enter and exit a building. It may not seem like a big deal to some, but to people with physical disabilities, full hands and/or children, they make a world of difference.

Automatic doors are most popular in places with high footfall like shopping outlets, entertainment centres, hospitals, airports and hotels, but we would recommend them to any commercial business.

They’re energy efficient

There’s nothing worse than someone leaving a door open and letting in a draft. Luckily, automatic doors only open when they detect movement, and close as soon as that movement is gone.

By opening for short bursts of time, and only when necessary, they stop heat from leaving the building which saves energy and reduces the cost of bills. In a place like the UK, where most days are chilly, automatic doors are a great investment. On the 7 days a year we do get good weather, they can help to stop cool air from escaping too!

They’re clean

Doorknobs are amongst the top 5 dirtiest objects in a home, so imagine how unhygienic they are in a commercial building! At a time when hygiene is more important than ever, the hands-free operation of automatic doors is a great way to reduce the spread of bacteria.

They’re safe

Of course, let’s not forget about the safety benefits. When fitted with the right security devices, automatic doors allow you to safely welcome guests, whilst deterring those who are unwelcome.

Looking to have automatic doors fitted at your business or institution? Scope Fire & Security are members of the Automatic Door Suppliers Association (ADSA), which exists to promote high standards of workmanship and operation when it comes to automatic door installation, design and maintenance.

With a wide range of security devices that can be fitted to control activation, our experts can help you find the right solution. For more information, speak to a member of the team on 0330 0884647 or email [email protected]
