The first line-up of speakers has been unveiled for this year’s much-anticipated Lancashire Business Day.
Lancashire Business View’s social event of the year will once again mark and celebrate #LancashireDay for the business community.
The speakers announced so far for the event on November 27 include Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Derry Green, creator of Secret Garden Glamping.
‘Now that’s what I call Lancashire 2025’ is the theme for the afternoon at Burnley Football Club as the magazine looks back at the last 12 months and the county’s big business hits of the year.
Other confirmed speakers include Pauline Wild, managing partner of Forbes Solicitors.
Pauline and Derry have both appeared on the front cover of Lancashire Business View this year and will be sharing their fascinating stories with the audience at Turf Moor.
Dave Walker, managing director of digital agency +24 and David Dunwell, chief executive at Lancashire Mind, have also been confirmed in the line-up, with other names to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Richard Slater, chairman of Lancashire Business View, said: “We have got some inspirational speakers who are leading the way in their sectors in the county.
“This is an opportunity for people to meet and discuss their own success stories and to connect. It’s also a great way of celebrating our wonderful business community on Lancashire’s special day and to reflect on the past 12 months.”
The event will also see the presentation of the 2025 Lancashire Business View Personality of the Year Award, who will be announced on the day.
Rossendale-based +24 is returning as Lancashire Business Day’s headline partner for the third year running.
East Lancashire Learning Group has been confirmed as a new patron for the event, alongside accountants and business advisors Beever and Struthers and commercial heating and cooling engineering company, Vital Synergy.
The charity partner for the event is Lancashire Mind, an independent charity whose staff, trustees and volunteers are passionate about making a difference to the mental health of people living and working in Lancashire.
Lisa O’Loughlin, chief executive of Further Education provider East Lancashire Learning Group, said: “Lancashire Business Day is a powerful reminder of what makes our county so special: ambition, collaboration and a no-nonsense drive to get things done.
“As the newly rebranded East Lancashire Learning Group, we are proud to be at the heart of Lancashire’s skills landscape, connecting employers, schools and learners with the opportunities our economy depends upon.
“We have a proud reputation for excellence; now we’re stepping into a new era with energy, commitment and optimism, focused on helping Lancashire compete, innovate and thrive.”
Joanne Hindley, sales director at Lancashire Business View, said: “We’re delighted to have East Lancashire Learning Group as a new patron for the event.
