HPA Architects are proud to announce the successful attainment of three key compliance accreditations: Cyber Essentials Plus, JOSCAR Registration, and BPSS Screening. This milestone underscores the practice's commitment to cybersecurity, responsible business practices, and operational excellence.

Cyber Essentials Plus

Cyber Essentials Plus is the highest level of certification under the UK Government’s Cyber Essentials scheme. It involves a rigorous, hands-on technical audit to verify protection against common cyber threats. This accreditation confirms that HPA’s digital infrastructure meets stringent security standards and reflects the firm’s proactive approach to safeguarding sensitive data.

What This Means for Clients

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation isn’t just an achievement for HPA - it’s important for their clients. Here’s why:

Enhanced Data Protection: Client project information, communications, and personal data are safeguarded by industry-standard security protocols.

Reduced Risk of Disruption: With strong cyber defences in place, the risk of downtime or data loss due to cyber incidents is significantly reduced - ensuring continuity and reliability in service delivery.

Compliance Confidence: Working with a Cyber Essentials Plus-accredited partner supports the clients' own compliance efforts, especially if they are in regulated sectors like government, healthcare, or finance.

Trust and Transparency: Accreditation demonstrates a proactive approach to cybersecurity, giving clients confidence that their information is handled with care and integrity.

Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR)

The Joint Supply Chain Accreditation Register (JOSCAR) is a collaborative system used by major buyers in secure sectors to simplify supplier qualification. HPA’s registration signals that the firm meets rigorous industry standards, enhancing trust and resilience while streamlining compliance for clients.

Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS)

BPSS screening is an enhanced form of UK employee screening, particularly for individuals who will be working with sensitive information, and is crucial to safeguard against potential security threats. This enhanced screening utilises biometric and digital technology to ensure team integrity and reduce the risk of insider threats, data breaches, and fraud.

BPSS screening reinforces client confidence and lays the foundation for higher levels of security clearance.

A Step Forward in Responsible Practice

HPA Architects believe that excellence in architecture goes hand-in-hand with excellence in business operations. These accreditations reflect a broader commitment to quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. HPA extend sincere thanks to their IT team and external assessors for their diligence and support throughout the accreditation process.
