With female football showing no signs of slowing, Bellway has shown its support for two Lancashire ladies, Beth Mason and Molly Kelly, both playing for AFC Fylde Women.
With the club’s training ground and pitch located at Mill Farm Sports Village, on Coronation Way in Wesham, just a short drive away from Bellway’s Alderstone Park development, it was an exciting opportunity for the housebuilder.
Defender Beth joined AFC Fylde Women from Blackburn Rovers last season. She is a resilient full-back, renowned for her supporting runs and ball distribution, and has committed her future to the Club.
Midfielder Molly is a local girl. She joined AFC Fylde Women at the start of the season from Mancunium Unity and has continually proved her ruthlessness in front of the goal. She is fast becoming one of the most valuable members of the team.
Jenny Bell, sales director at Bellway, said: “Getting involved with AFC Fylde Women by sponsoring both Beth and Molly has been a pleasure for Bellway.
"We are committed to helping local communities close to where we build, and supporting these Lancashire ladies with their football career was a unique opportunity for us. We wish them well for the rest of the season and future seasons to come.”
Anthony McCluskey, commercial manager at AFC Fylde, says: “Year on year support for our female football team grows and it’s great to see local businesses helping these ladies with their journey in the sport.
"The team is doing well so far this season, with Bellway’s sponsorship of Beth and Molly a real boost for them.”
Alderstone Park is a fantastic development located on Garstang Road in Great Eccleston, once named among the ‘most desirable’ UK villages to live according to The Telegraph.
