Fylde coast headquartered prize draw company Elite Competitions has appointed Peter Lynas as its Head of Compliance.
The addition to its senior team comes as the business continues to invest in its infrastructure and support its next phase of growth.
Founded in 2016 and featured on Dragon’s Den in 2018, the company creates instant prize winners through its website, and uses a certified random ball machine in live-streamed jackpot draws on Facebook and YouTube.
Based in Bispham, Elite Competitions has given away more than £129m in winnings to date.
Peter joins Elite Competitions from bet365, where he held the role of Compliance Lead, bringing extensive experience from one of the world’s largest and most recognised online betting and gaming operators.
His appointment will see him oversee compliance strategy across Elite Competitions, ensuring the business continues to maintain robust processes, support responsible operations and uphold high standards of transparency as it scales.
He said: “Elite Competitions has built an impressive business in a short space of time and I’m excited to become part of a growing team who are leading the way in competitions.
“My experience at bet365 has given me real insight into the importance of effective compliance frameworks, customer protection and operating responsibly within a highly regulated environment.
“I’m looking forward to bringing that experience to Elite Competitions, continuing to build the compliance approach and support the business as it develops and grows.”
Alex Beckett, chief executive of Elite Competitions, said: “Trust and transparency are fundamental to Elite Competitions, and strengthening our compliance function is a key priority as we continue to scale.
“Peter’s experience as Compliance Lead at bet365 will be a significant asset to the business. His knowledge of operating within a highly regulated environment will help us continue to make our processes even more robust.
“His appointment reflects our ambition to bring in senior expertise across the business and continue to create a team capable of supporting Elite Competitions’ long-term growth plans.”
Peter’s appointment follows a period of continued investment across Elite Competitions, with the company expanding its leadership team across marketing, performance and customer engagement functions.
Elite Competitions has been named as one of the fastest growing companies in the North West and is predicted to have 60 per cent year-on-year growth in the next three years.
