Johnsons Muay Thai Farleys Ring

Farleys Solicitors has taken up sponsorship of a new ring at Johnson’s Muay Thai in Preston. The new ring, now named ‘The Farleys Ring’ is preparing for the Interclub event on Saturday 18th March 2023 as well as many more events in the pipeline.

Johnson’s Muay Thai opened in 2019 and is run by Alice and Tommy Johnson who have over 20 years of Muay Thai experience between them, including training and fighting professionally in Thailand.

Tommy and Alice have found a great balance of teaching the suited classes to their specialities. And now have 4 other Thai coaches, a strength and conditioning coach and Yoga coach to assist in improving everyone’s performance in Muay Thai. The gym currently has over 400+ members, who train on a weekly basis in classes or private lessons, which are extremely popular at Johnson’s!

Johnson’s Muay Thai is now one of the best Muay Thai Facilities in the North West, with 3 boxing rings, 10 punch bags varying in size, 3 training areas including a fully kitted out Strength and Conditioning area.

A few times a year Johnson’s Muay Thai hosts fighting events at the gym, hosting around 500+ people in one day. A friendly event where gyms from around the country attend to gain experience in a semi contact bout.

On the sponsorship of the new ring, Alice Johnson commented: “Johnson’s gym is thrilled to be sponsored by Farleys Solicitors. The new ring has brought joy to all our students particularly our younger students - especially because it’s purple! It’s amazing to have a company supporting its employees’ hobbies and families! They’ve chosen a great place to support, a place that supports many people in and around Preston! The memories, champions created and lessons learnt in this boxing ring will last a lifetime. We are forever grateful, thank you!”

Holly Barnes, solicitor at Farleys Solicitors added: “We are so pleased to sponsor Johnson’s, a fantastic family-run, up and coming club in Preston. We have strong links to the club and are excited to see how they continue to grow and develop over the next few years. Johnson’s do amazing work with their members and also put on events that benefit charity and the community. Children particularly thrive at the gym as the coaches instil them with confidence and important skills for life”.

The Interclub event will take place on the 18th March 2023, with doors opening at 10.00am at Johnson’s Muay Thai, Unit 1A, Campbell Street, Preston, PR1 5LX. Food and drink will be available to purchase on the day and for further information see Johnson’s Muay Thai’s Facebook Page.
