Expansion for Rossendale Holiday Cottages

Rossendale Holiday Cottages has added two new cottages and a yoga studio/conference room, which will soon open their doors to the public.

The company offers places to holiday options in the heart of the Rossendale Valley, including six cottages, two en-suite bedrooms and four glamping pods. An additional glamping pod, with its own kitchen and bathroom, is currently under construction.

Rossendale Holiday Cottages is a family business run by Jonny Wilson and his wife Rachel, along with fellow director Michael Armstrong, opening its doors four years ago. It has recently been shortlisted for the “Sweetest Homestay” Award at The eviivo Awards, one of Britain’s premier annual awards for the industry.

Jonny Wilson said: “The demand is there for people to go on holiday, to be close to nature and in the great outdoors, without the hassle of having to bring their own tent and also to places where they can still enjoy a few luxuries.

“It is about giving people more choice, appealing to those holidaymakers who want to escape and have different choices of accommodation.”

The new additions were facilitated with support from Barclays. Andy Kempster, business manager for Barclays, who supported the investment, said: “Jonny and Rachel have done a fantastic job building their family business in such a short space of time and should be immensely proud of the significant role they play in driving tourism and jobs to their local community."
