Expanding Store First looks north of the border

A Burnley storage firm is looking north of the border for the next stage of its expansion plans as it prepares to open a new centre in Glasgow.

storefirstpicStore First, based on Liverpool Road in Burnley, recently announced plans to open centres in Leeds, Wakefield and Ellesmere Port later this year after its latest branch launched in Barnsley.

And Yorkshire and Merseyside aren't the only areas to be targeted by the ambitious firm as Store First has now set its sights on Scotland.

A deal has just been signed to build a large, contemporary storage facility in Glasgow. The centre is due to open early next year.

Store First says its business model is designed to accommodate rapid expansion and it is keen to snap up any suitable plots for further development.

Operations director Stuart Laverty said: "Business is booming at all of our centres and that's because we give domestic and commercial customers more bang for their buck - it's not just a space to store your stuff, you can make use of our on-site gyms, tap into the free wifi or hold a meeting in a stylish conference room to impress new clients. "That's what sets us apart and enables us to keep growing at this incredible pace - Scotland has always been a key target and we can wait to get started there."
