A trailblazing construction business is creating further opportunities for growth by doubling the size of its Blackpool headquarters.

Evolution, well-known for creating better places for people to live in communities across the North of England, has finalised a deal to buy a new office at Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone.

The purchase means Evolution, which delivers major renovation projects across Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Yorkshire, and Cumbria, now has two neighbouring units at Squires Gate, Blackpool, where it has been based for the last six years.

JJ Fitzgerald, managing director, said: "This is a really exciting new phase of our company development.

“The expansion of our headquarters has been something we have been working on for some time to enable further business growth. It’s great to get the deal done.

“We have been extremely successful in winning work across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast and are delighted to be further investing in the area and supporting our communities.

“Our expansion will give our team more development opportunities and with further growth we hope to inspire even more people to pursue careers in construction.”

As well as working on a range of housing schemes across the North of England, Evolution is also set to expand its renewables business with a major commercial solar project.

JJ said: “As a business we aim to have a positive impact on people, places and the planet, and the growth of the solar side of our business will further enhance those ambitions.

“Achieving business growth also means we are able to give back even more to our communities and support projects, initiatives, and people who are in need of some extra help.

“That’s why we get out of bed every day, to do a quality job for our clients, create better homes for people, provide job and career development opportunities, and support our communities. It’s all about changing people’s lives for the better.”

The Evolution team recently had the pleasure of working on a DIY SOS build in Freckleton organised by the BBC TV series. Five members of the Evolution team donated their time to help a local family adapt their home, providing their joinery skills and electrical expertise to ensure the successful competition of the inspirational project.

Next month the Evolution team are taking part in the Baton of Hope walk on September 1, when Blackpool hosts the UK start of the symbolic relay to support suicide survivors and their families with a launch event at The Village Hotel, at 7am.

JJ said: “With suicide rates in construction among the highest of any sector, it’s vital we stand together to show that no one has to struggle alone.”
