Advocate for female entrepreneurship, Coral Horn, is the region’s first ambassador for the Prince’s Trust Women Supporting Women Initiative.

The Women Supporting Women (WSW) network was established at The Prince’s Trust in 2018. It aims to raise £10m for The Prince’s Trust, to help it support thousands of young women who face disadvantage and adversity to achieve their goals in life.

WSW has brought together strong female leaders; entrepreneurs, professionals, academics, and philanthropists, who all share the belief that all young women, regardless of background or circumstances, deserve the chance to succeed.

Founding Gold Patron, Chrissie Rucker, founder of The White Company said “We want Women Supporting Women to give young women the help, inspiration, tools and opportunities they need to find their confidence and build their own brighter future”.

Pink Link is planning a series of events to raise awareness for the initiative, starting next month with a Women in Business Lunch in Liverpool. The event will also celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week and Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, highlighting the positive impact that networking, mentoring, and collaboration has on the empowerment of women and the growth of female entrepreneurship.

Guests will hear from two inspirational speakers. Multi award-winning Dr Natalie Kenny, founder of BioGrad, will share the challenges and triumphs she has faced as she combined an impressive life in science with building a multi-million-pound enterprise. Lucy Johnson, North West Philanthropy Manager at the Prince’s Trust is passionate about helping young people to fulfil their potential. She will explain how the WSW campaign can assist young women from disadvantaged backgrounds on their entrepreneurial journey and how you can get involved.

Founder of Pink Link and the Enterprise Vision Awards, Coral Horn said “We owe it to the next generation of women to help them reach their full potential and make their dreams a reality. We’ll be discussing female initiatives that are happening in Merseyside and welcome all who share the belief that together we can make a difference.”

Tickets are available now for the Women in Business Lunch 10am to 2pm on Wednesday 16 November at the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village Hotel. Book via the website or contact Coral Horn on 01772 348 309 for more details.
