Energy firm to double workforce in 2018 as part of £1M investment

A fast-growing energy management company has announced plans to double its headcount to 60 in 2018, following a series of major contract wins.

The company, which has already increased staff from 25 to 30 this quarter, has headquarters in Nelson, Lancashire with an office in Manchester and plans to open a further office in London in the first quarter of 2018.

Managing director Frazer Durris said: “We have set aside a £1M budget to include recruitment, a new energy management platform and a major upgrade in offices and workspace.

“This has been a fantastic year for the business. We have gained award recognition for our service levels, welcomed property entrepreneur and BFC Director Brendan Flood on board as non-executive director and opened up opportunities with recognised brands in the hospitality, property, retail and manufacturing markets.

“The energy sector is evolving at a rapid pace and it is our aim to change the way businesses buy and manage their energy.”

Frazer truly believes that Businesswise Solutions’ key differentiator is the outstanding customer experience its clients receive from a passionate team, delivered through an innovative approach and market-leading technology.

He said: “Our employees really are our most valuable assets and, as such, we value their opinions on helping us to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

“Our team are encouraged to play a vital part in the company’s decision-making processes. Following the successful trial of focus groups in early 2017 an employee innovation team has been launched in order to give staff lead roles in a variety of key projects.

“We have earned a strong reputation for our customer service and energy management in the industry and need to be sure that we have a highly skilled workforce to deliver the standards of excellence we are championing within the sector.

“We have identified areas where we need to compliment the expertise we already have in-house and over the next few months we will be pushing to fill these vacancies to help us achieve future ambitious growth,” said Frazer.

“In addition, we have a number of new projects and plans that we are going to announce in early 2018 that will need the support of a larger team. We look forward to another strong and exciting year of growth.” For details of current vacancies with the company, please visit www.businesswisesolutions.co.uk/jobs.
