EG Group expands presence in southern states

EG Group has acquired the assets of Sprint Food Stores, including 34 fuel and convenience store sites in Georgia in South Carolina.

The deal takes the number of sites the Blackburn-based firm operates in the USA to more than 1,750 in 33 states.

EG founders Zuber and Mohsin Issa said: "As we continue to grow our presence in the USA, we look forward to welcoming Sprint colleagues and these attractive 34 stores to the EG Group family and growing the Sprint brand in Georgia and South Carolina."
