Developer launches platform to simplify field service management

Business software brand NoralIQ has launched Field, a new platform designed to help trades, contractors and field based businesses manage their day-to-day operations in one place.

Developed by East Lancashire based designer and developer Ryan Allen, NoralIQ Field brings together projects, jobs, customers, teams, site information, photographs, documentation and other operational information that businesses can often find themselves managing across multiple systems.

The platform has been built around the idea that businesses should not need an increasingly complicated collection of software, spreadsheets, paperwork and messaging apps just to keep track of everyday work.

Ryan said: “One of the things I kept seeing was businesses having information spread everywhere. A job might be recorded in one system, photographs somewhere else, conversations in messaging apps and documents stored separately.

“With Field, I have tried to bring those parts of the working day together while keeping the platform straightforward to use, particularly for businesses where people are regularly working away from the office.”

Built with field based businesses in mind, Field is aimed particularly at businesses operating across trades, construction, property maintenance and other service industries.

Users can manage projects and individual jobs, maintain customer records, assign and track work, capture photographs and videos from site and keep operational information accessible to both office and field-based teams.

The platform also incorporates practical AI powered features, including tools for turning voice notes and field information into structured reports, with the aim of reducing time spent on administration.

NoralIQ Field entered early access ahead of its full public launch allowing the platform to be tested in real world business environments and giving early users an opportunity to influence its development.

Selected businesses can also participate in NoralIQ's Founding Company Programme, which provides a closer relationship with the development of the platform and its future applications.

The beginning of a wider platform, Field is the first major application within the wider NoralIQ platform.

Future applications are planned around areas including analytics, document creation and management, inventory and team management, with the longer-term aim of creating a connected set of business tools rather than a collection of isolated products.

Ryan said: “Field is really the starting point for what I want NoralIQ to become.

“The longer-term goal is to build a collection of applications that work together and cover more of the everyday processes businesses deal with, without losing the simplicity that Field is being built around.”

Ryan has worked across design, development and digital projects for more than a decade and has developed NoralIQ independently from East Lancashire.

NoralIQ Field officially launches on 14 September 2026 and is available with a 30-day free trial.
