Complete. supports the local community

Here at Complete. we’ve been very busy! From well-being week to charity challenges, it’s all going on. Let’s give you a little update.

Well-being week

As part of well-being week, the team headed to the Flowerbowl Entertainment Centre, where we participated in various activities and had a tasty meal in the restaurant. We took to the ice for a beginner's course in curling and then headed to the bowling alley for even more fun. This was a fantastic opportunity for team building and gave everyone a chance to relax and take some time out. Who said all work, no play was a good idea? Certainly not us!

Firewalk

We’ve recently announced our latest charity challenge event, the UK Firewalk! During this challenge, we’ll be walking over hot coals to raise money for Cash For Kids Lancashire! This fantastic charity supports vulnerable children across Lancashire and the rest of England.

We’ll be taking on the Firewalk in September in Preston, and we cannot wait. If you can make a donation, please do. Your donations are very much appreciated and can really help to support others.

Please make a donation here.

Wesley’s Cafe & Larder

We’ve been supporting Wesley’s for a number of years. They support those in need in the local community by cooking hot, healthy meals and providing food and toiletry packages. The service relies on the amazing volunteers and the goodwill of the local community.

Wesley’s are asking for donations of longer-lasting items. If you’re local to the area, please consider donating some of these items:

  • Tins of beans
  • Tins of soup
  • Tins of vegetables
  • Tins of fruit
  • Pasta & rice
  • Cereals
  • Toiletries

You can drop off any donations with us at Business First Blackpool, Amy Johnson Way, FY4 2RP or directly to Wesley’s at Church Road Methodist Church, St Albans Road, Lytham St Annes, FY8 3NQ. Your donations really do go a long way. Both us and Wesley’s are very grateful for all donations.

Check out some of the amazing work the volunteers do here.

Living Wage Accreditation

Complete recently received Living Wage Accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation. The foundation calculates a real living wage based on external factors, such as the cost of living crisis. At a time when inflation has increased rapidly, the real living wage is so important. It ensures that employees are paid a fair wage for their hard work.

We’re proud to have received the accreditation and look forward to raising awareness wherever possible.

As we said - we’ve been busy! If you’re able to make a donation for our Firewalk event, please do so using the link above.

Additionally, if you have any long-lasting food items that you’d be willing to donate to Wesley’s, please do so either by dropping them off with us or with Wesley’s - both addresses are listed above.

Thank you so much to everyone who makes a donation or spreads the word, it’s much appreciated.
