Compassionate Care Group to expand across Lancashire

Compassionate Care Group is expanding across Lancashire with the launch of a dedicated new complex care division.

The fast growing family run care provider has invested about £500,000 in the launch of the new service that will deliver an exceptional range of nurse led complex care services to adults, children and young people in their own homes.

Working to relieve pressure on the NHS, the new service launches with a highly experienced team of six clinicians covering a wide range of complex needs including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, Battens disease, brain and spinal injuries, mental health issues and challenging behaviours, as well as the administration of complex medication, ventilators and tracheostomies.

The team will work across all areas of the north west, with a focus on Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire initially, before rolling out nationally as demand increases.

CEO of Compassionate Care Group, Michael Medlicott, said: “With the NHS under ever increasing pressure, demand for clinician-led complex care services delivered in the home continues to rise, so expanding into this area was a natural next step for us.

“Evidence indicates that many people in hospital with complex care needs would prefer to move back home and be cared for in a community setting if they had a provider with specialised clinical expertise that they could trust with their medical requirements.

“With more than 100 years combined experience in the team, we are well placed to become the leading provider in this area and have invested heavily to create a new service that is fully focussed on quality over quantity to deliver a bespoke best in class strategy driven by client satisfaction.”

Compassionate Care Group has already started developing relationships with regional health authorities and NHS case managers across Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire working to deliver person-centred, bespoke and highly specialised complex care to select number of clients.

Fully committed to growth, the team will develop the service slowly over the next three to five years with the long term aim of becoming the preferred provider for complex care and the first choice in the sector.

Alongside developing the service, Compassionate Care Group is committed to developing its people investing significant funds into training, employee development and upskilling to ensure every team member has the required knowledge and accreditations to deliver exceptional care.
