A £2,000 community fund for good causes in Blackburn has been launched by Prospect Homes.
The scheme, called Blackburn Community Roots, is part of the sales launch at Weaver’s Rise in Mellor Brook. It will back projects that make a real impact across the wider area.
Nia O’Sullivan, head of sales and customer service at Prospect Homes, said: “The fund is designed to support small but meaningful projects - the kind of ideas that start locally and make a lasting difference.
"By offering four £500 grants, the scheme will help nurture the organisations who are already putting down roots and helping communities in and around Mellor Brook flourish.”
Prospect Homes is building 121 homes on Myerscough Smithy Road in Mellor Brook. The development offers a mix of 78 three, and four bedroom detached and semi detached homes, alongside 43 affordable rent properties available with a 30% discount.
