CMAC Group appoints Matthew Ratcliffe as chief operating officer

Accrington-headquartered CMAC Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Ratcliffe as its new chief operating officer (COO).

Ratcliffe has almost two decades of experience across the mobility and transportation sectors, including senior leadership roles at Google, Gett, Karhoo, Addison Lee and Didi Chuxing.

He has built a reputation for scaling operations, launching new markets and driving international expansion, with successful rollouts in more than 20 countries.

In his new role, Ratcliffe will lead the continued development of CMAC’s operational capabilities, focusing on delivering gold-accredited customer experiences, strengthening supply operations and scaling international growth.

CMAC is a leader in ground transportation, accommodation and disruption management.

Following this appointment, Ashley Seed, who has been serving as Interim COO, will move into the role of chief commercial officer (CCO).

This coincides with the recent hiring of Ian Jeffrey who will lead CMAC’s Great British Rail Replacement initiative, reinforcing the company’s focus on growth and expansion across sectors.
