Clare becomes latest WHN solicitor to gain renowned trust and estates industry qualification

An associate in Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall (WHN) Solicitors’ family team has spoken about her colleagues’ support after becoming the firm’s latest member of The Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP).

STEP is the global professional body for standards in trust and estates and becoming a member is the top qualification for wills, trusts and probate solicitors.

Clare Rogers, who joined WHN in 2021 after heading up the private client team at another North West firm, is an expert in wills, trusts, powers of attorney, Court of Protection applications, probate and all aspects of the administration of estates.

She has become a STEP member after completing the qualification’s final exam in May.

She initially began studying for the qualification around three years ago and is now the fourth STEP member among WHN’s family team, joining Stephen Parr, Helen Law and Jennifer Moorhouse.

She said: “The STEP qualification is notoriously difficult to achieve so I’m pleased that all the hard work has paid off. I’m looking forward to applying everything that I’ve learned in the process of achieving this qualification and further strengthening the service we provide to our clients.

“WHN has not only funded my STEP qualification but also provided real flexibility in the past few years to allow me to study around professional and family commitments. I’m proud to work for a firm which truly supports its team’s development.”
