As we bring down the curtain on Q1, we would like to give you an update of the current market situation and why now is the perfect time to sell your childcare setting.

When we published our 2021 Global Childcare Report in January, we predicted a strong year for childcare transactions and an increase in corporate acquisitions of small groups and high-value single setting nurseries. At the end of quarter 1 the market has started to meet our expectations with a variety of deals announced throughout the UK.

Redwoods Dowling Kerr has seen a 60% increase in buyer registrations compared to 2020. In addition, we have completed 28 childcare deals so far this year, a clear indication that the market has an abundance of opportunities to acquire.

In recent weeks, we have sold Manchester-based Olive Shapley Playgroup, Playbox Day Nursery in Derbyshire, and Bright Stars Childcare located in Somerset. Our first-class childcare team are ensuring deals are progressing through the deal process and we anticipate a very strong Q2.

Buyers have regained their appetite to acquire and recognised the resilience of the childcare market and a sector full of opportunities, which has ensured an increase in deal completions. This trend is set to continue throughout 2021 and into the next year.

As a result of our excellent service and proven background of cementing the right deal for clients, we have achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating on Trustpilot.

If you’re looking to sell your childcare settings or you’re someone who is planning to sell in the future, now is the perfect time.

At Redwoods Dowling Kerr, we are market-leading specialists in business sales, and we have unrivalled expertise in selling childcare settings and our bespoke services can help you achieve the maximum sale price.

We have a corporate sales process which is tailored to meet the demands of clients and what they are looking for. Our process is bespoke and unrivalled in converting interest into completions.
