CG Professional headline sponsor for Lancashire Business Week

CG Professional have been announced as the headline sponsor for Lancashire Business Week.

The Chorley-based legal practice has grown rapidly since it was launched in 2017 by Stacey Turner and Louise Myers. Now the business is taking the lead as the county showcases its achievements so far and maps out its post-coronavirus future in a series of debates, discussions and celebratory events.

Lancashire Business Week, which runs from Monday November 23 to the official Lancashire Day on November 27, has been organised by Lancashire Business View magazine. In previous years, the events have taken place on a single day, and for the first time in 2020 a full calendar featuring a slate of guest speakers and panelists has been drawn up across five days. All the events will be held online and are free to attend.

Richard Slater, event organiser and Lancashire Business View publisher, said: “CG Professional is exactly the type of business we celebrate at Lancashire Business View. Stacey and Louise launched their business in 2017, building it from the ground up, recruiting a premium legal team and earning a fantastic reputation in just a few short years.

“We’re delighted to have them on board as headline sponsor and know that, by sharing their incredible story, they will be able to add something unique to the programme, too.”

Headline sponsor, CG Professional said: “Linking up with Lancashire Business View for Lancashire Business Week was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up. The rapid growth of CG Professional across the North West has been phenomenal over the last three years but we remain truly focused on the growing market of Lancashire.

“We have some of the UK’s finest businesses situated in Lancashire and the red rose county historically has always been so progressive, consistently growing the finest talent.

“For CG to be sponsoring this celebration of the county in all its glory and sitting alongside some of Lancashire’s finest businesses should be a brilliant event – it’s a huge shame we can’t do it in person but we can’t wait to see everyone virtually and listen to what some of the local leaders have to say.”

Lancashire Business Week has announced its first 23 guest speakers, which include business owners, policy-shapers and industry leaders such as Steve Fogg of the Lancashire Economic Partnership, David Harland of the Eden Project and Ian Steel of Atkinson’s Coffee.

The programme of events features daily Breakfast Blasts, a lunchtime roundtable discussion, and a celebratory grand finale to conclude the week.

Events are grouped into themes. Monday’s event will focus on the county’s Opportunities and Challenges during and beyond the Covid-19 pandemic. Tuesday will take a look at the wider Jobs and Skills picture, and Wednesday will take a look within workforces and discuss Wellbeing and Inclusivity. Thursday’s events will cover Leadership and Change, and Friday will round off the week with a positive look at the county’s achievements to date and its aspirations for the months and years ahead.

Lancashire Business Week is also backed by patrons AMRC North West, Beever and Struthers, Burnley.co.uk, Burnley College, FW Capital, IN4.0 Group, Lancashire 2025 and PDS Engineering. Utiligroup is a supporter. The media partners are Downtown in Business, Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce and lovelocalnetworking.
