Businesses encouraged to do a Good Turn for Blackburn Youth Zone
Following on from the success of last years’ Black and Gold Ball which raised over £11,000, Accrington based business, The Cummins Mellor Group will once again be raising funds for Blackburn Youth Zone by organising a family friendly sponsored cycle around the Preston Guild Wheel.The event, named A Good Turn, will take place on Sunday, September 13 starting at Brockholes Nature Reserve with the first group of cyclists setting off at 9am.
Local employers from the Lancashire area are encouraged to enter their own teams as well as bring friends and family along to the cycle event for everyone. The course is off road and suitable for all abilities as well as children from the age of 7 upwards.Cummins Mellor Group chairman Richard Mellor said: “We were overwhelmed by the amount of support we received from businesses in Lancashire last year for the black and gold ball and wanted to arrange an event this year which families can enter and suitable for all ages.
