Business owner invited to America to meet Kingston co-founder

An online retailer based in Preston, Lancashire has been sent on the trip of a lifetime.

www.kingstonmemoryshop.co.uk is an independent, authorised re-seller of Kingston products and was one of only 12 businesses flown to the other side of the world as part of an annual event for UK distributors, corporate resellers, integrators and retailers.

The Preston-based business visited the Kingston Technology Corporation HQ in California, and the trip took place over three nights and four days.

The once-in-a-lifetime-trip included a tour of the factory where products are produced, a visit to Universal Studios and dinner and evening hospitality with John Tu, co-founder of Kingston Technology Corporation.

Leigh Cowell, owner of SweetCow Ltd, parent company of KingstonMemoryCards.co.uk, said: “This was a fantastic opportunity to meet key stakeholders in the business and see the products we sell being manufactured. I was able to see first-hand the manufacturing facility in which the products are made and see the complex process that they go through in order to get such high quality results.

“I’ve been able to take a lot away from the trip and bring the knowledge back to Preston to apply to my business. In doing so, we can offer UK customers expert advice and support for all their Kingston needs, especially given that server environments can be particularly complex.”
