Residents and their families at Belvedere Manor in Burnley have rated Lovett Care as one of the Top 20 care home groups in the UK, according to the 2026 carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards.

There are 2,061 care home groups in the UK.

The award is based entirely on independent reviews from residents, as well as their friends and relatives, recognising care providers that consistently deliver high-quality care and support, with overall experience, facilities, cleanliness, food and drink, staff, activities, management, safety and security, rooms and value for money all rated.

carehome.co.uk is the UK’s leading website for finding and choosing a care home. It helps families understand their care home options, explore what is available locally, build a shortlist and arrange viewings with homes that best match their individual needs.

There are nearly 17,000 care homes across the UK, caring for around half a million people. Each year, carehome.co.uk recognises the top 20 care home groups based on published reviews, highlighting those making an exceptional difference to residents’ lives.

Almost one in five people are now aged 65 or over and nearly one in 10 people are aged 75 and over. This figure is expected to rise significantly over the coming decades and demand for high-quality care will continue to grow.

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager at carehome.co.uk, said: “Being named as a Top 20 care home group is a significant achievement, as the award is based on feedback from residents and their families who have first-hand experience of the care provided.

“We are delighted to congratulate Lovett Care on this huge achievement. These awards celebrate excellence in care and demonstrate Lovett Care’s commitment to delivering first-rate care across its homes.

“The highest-rated care home groups make a profound difference to residents’ lives by placing compassion, respect and dignity at the heart of everything they do.”

Cath Fairhurst, managing director at Lovett Care, adds: “To be named as of the UK’s Top 20 care home groups is a remarkable achievement. With over 2,000 care home groups in the country, we are thrilled to be regarded as one of the best.

“We have a very clear objective within all of our care homes and that is to ensure we do ‘more’ for our elders. This award is testament to that approach and the Lovett Care staff that deliver ‘more’ every day.”

With a vision to create caring communities in which our elders thrive, Lovett Care is one of the UK’s leading care home groups with 28 homes across Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire, Yorkshire and Cheshire. Filled with joy, togetherness and love, Lovett Care homes are places where life is truly lived. For more information, visit lovettcare.co.uk.
